"In meiner künstlerischen Arbeit beschäftige ich mich mit dem alltäglichen Leben, wie wir existieren, agieren, leben. Aktuelle Strömungen in unserer Gesellschaft treiben mich an, wie z.B. unser Umgang mit natürlichen Ressourcen. Nicht selten ziehe ich Erkenntnisse aus der Wissenschaft heran. Diese dienen mir allerdings lediglich als Inspiration. Grundlage sind stets meine persönlichen Empfindungen und Erlebnisse. Zwischen Wirklichkeit und Fiktion lasse ich meine Bilder unbewusst und unerwartet, aus einem inneren Antrieb heraus, entstehen. Ich entziehe den Bildern ihren ursprünglichen Kontext und kombiniere sie rein assoziativ zu Bildfolgen. Dabei geht es mir nicht um das Abgebildete, sondern um das, was darüber hinaus zum Vorschein kommt, wenn Bilder interagieren. Nicht das Abbild lässt uns sehen, sondern unsere persönlichen Gedanken, denen wir bei der Betrachtung einen Raum geben. Das vollendete Werk ist eine Fotografie in ihrer physischen und einzigartigen Existenz, Licht, Form und Materialität."
‘In my work, I deal with everyday life, how we exist, act and live. I am driven by current topics in our society, such as our use of natural resources. I am inspired by findings from sciences. However, the works are always based on my personal feelings and experiences. My images emerge unconsciously and unexpectedly between reality and fiction, from an inner impulse. I remove the pictures from their original context and combine them associatively to combinations. I am not only interested in what is depicted, but in what comes to light when images interact. It is not the things depicted that allow us to see, but the personal thoughts, that we let come out, when we look at the pictures. The finished work is a photograph in its physical and unique existence, light, shape and materiality.’
